About Black Widow

Many people are familiar with the appearance of the black widow. Its body is a shiny black with a red hourglass on its belly. We have found them in their house, barn, shed, and woodpiles. The black widow is very poisonous and it’s quite common. Whenever you’re reaching into any area that you cannot completely see, you should be sure to wear gloves to protect yourself from poisonous type.

Their bite is quite painful. The pain starts from the bitten part, then a few minutes later, it will spread to other body parts. A bite from them can barely result in death. Male bites are not that dangerous but the female type can pose a threat to humans. They only bite when they are disturbed.

Get to Know the Brown Recluse

The brown recluse that you’ll find in the area isn’t big. Typically, it will be brown with a black line on its back. They typically don’t build the pretty webs that others build. Common areas where we have found brown recluse are piles of wood, sheds, basements, and garages.

Like different bugs, they are not excessively aggressive. It is very normal to live in a structure that infested with these and never get bitten. Most bites happen because of body pressure, when an insect is accidentally caught against exposed skin. It can also happen while moving away from things or putting on a garment that they are present. Their type has little teeth and their bite can’t pierce through clothes.

Their bite at initial is usually painless. The bite site may become red and swollen. Most people who got bitten by this type usually heals about 3 weeks.
